Bassenthwaite Lake Station

Went on a recky to Bassenthwaite Lake Station today. It's quite an eerie place and the track has been replaced by the A66, but once you clamber over the brambles it's easy to imagine yourself back in time waiting for a train to come.

On the other side of the road I discovered Dubwath Silver Meadows. A place I drive by all the time and thought was just a boggy field! It's amazing what you find on your doorstep!
