Home to the Birds
Back home to continuing wild weather. The day started dry and we even saw some sunshine while we were having breakfast. Needless to say it disappeared before we had finished our coffee.
Blowing a hooley outside, wild and wet most of the time even Oscar refused to go outside. So I set up the tripod inside the front porch and kept watch for the garden birds. Blue tits, great tits, robins, sparrows and chaffinches all appeared looking for food. They must have spotted me filling the feeders during a very brief dry spell this morning.
My patience paid off and I did get blips of the robin , sparrows and chaffinches during a dry patch. the rest of the day they hid in the trees taking shelter from the wild weather.
By the time it was dry enough to take Oscar down on to the shore most of the light had gone so the camera stayed indoors. If this weather continues I reckon most of my blips will be birds or flowers for the time being.
Well done new Zealand , great result. There will be one Scot very, very happy who put a 50 thousand pounds bet on NZ winning by no more than a difference of 16 points so the 8-7 score will be pleasing him. ( not John off course- he wouldn't take a risk like that - Just someone we read about in today's paper).
Hope you all had a great weekend.
PS: suggest you might like a wee peek at LARGE as you can see our house in the robin's eye. hence the boring title.
