I don't like flowers much...

It's not that I 'don't like them', per se, it's more that I think they are rather boring.
But I've been on a macro course today. Quite possibly the most frustrating day of my 36 years. I took about two hundred shots and they were, predominantly, utter crap. I lost the plot with the boring flowers and the combination of the gale force wind, f number, ISO, shutter speed, exposure compensation, turning the focus to manual, sodding about with reflectors to change the light, the fact that my tripod had a mind of it's own and that my camera was looking at me as if to say, "You want me to do WHAT? Are you an idiot?".

ARGH! Frustrating to the Nth degree.

And so...having come home and reviewed all the shots this is about the only one that I think looked half decent. The tutor picked three others - one of a metal pig (yawn), one of my little people that I blipped a few weeks back and one of a feather. Seriously, a white feather?! It was dull as hell. Apparently the, "angles of the lines on the feather are very aesthetically pleasing"...methinks not.

So...apologies for the boring flower. But as it's Pippa's 2nd birthday it's a "Happy Birthday" flower for her...
...and yes, she has her new ball...
...and no, Lottie and Rags haven't burst it...yet!!!
