Madchester .....

We drove into Manchester today, half way there, we suddenly realised it was the Man United v Man City derby at Old Trafford.
The city centre was like a ghost town , parking was easy, the shops were empty and it was warm and sunny. We did our shopping and then took a walk round the Northern Quarter . It's a gritty area, full of quirky bars , cafes and "one off" shops . It's always fun to people watch , one of my favourite things !
I have walked past this little bar several times , and it always makes me smile.
