On the road to nowhere

The house that we have rented is on a new estate. The billboard promises lots of good things like a shopping centre and a cinema.

We are as far down as you can drive and turn off just before the road to nowhere. I see this truck everyday, so today we decided to investigate.

So there it sits on the road to nowhere, amongst pegged out building lots. It is not alone in being broken and abandoned. There is another truck and some smaller vehicles. A small prefab hut full of rush that might be used on Bali huts that has been taken over by birds. Pallets of paints where the labels have disintegrated in the elements. An oversized engine. And 3 shipping containers. 2 are locked. The open one houses a massive diesel generator.

I might feel a theme coming on here. But I don't think it involves a shopping centre. Or a cinema.
