Highest spot around here where, on a clear day, you can see the sea in one direction and the moors on the other - but not today in the mist and rain.

Frantically busy as usual - but hurrah - Gill-next-door has had her hip operation so am dashing to Bishop Aukland to visit - and consoling her dog in the meantime. She should be home tomorrow or tuesday and likely to stay with me for a few days.

New grandchild now overdue but when my son rang last night it was just to ask about making a sponge pudding in a mug in the microwave! (No not for mum-to-be - for him!!!)
