The Gothic Rocket

While family went shopping in Edinburgh, I took a walk up the 287 steps to the top of the Scott Monument (aka locally as the Gothic Rocket), overlooking the city's Old and New Towns. It is the largest monument to a writer in the world. I've never been up there despite having lived in the city for 15 years. It commands spectacular views, though today was pretty grey, so instead I've Blipped a view upward towards the stain glass windows inside the tall exhibition room about half way up the Monument.
