The World Cup is nearly over but the rugby continues. Today Newport entertained Tonmawr at Rodney Parade. Newport have had a poor start to the season only winning 2 in the first 7 where Tonmawr have lost all of them. The visitors had the better start going into the dressing rooms at half time 6-16 up. What the hell Newport were doing was nobodies business, but at least with a few player changes Newport came out on fire. 4 try's in the 2nd half secured a bonus pint win, yeah baby.

Also the Dragons headed to London to play English giants Wasps in the LV Cup tonight, what a game it was. The Dragons were filled with youth, Hallam Amos became the youngest player to play for a Welsh region at just over 17 yrs old. To top that we then brought on a 16 year old Jack Dixon and both played very well. Dai Young (Director of Rugby at Wasps) resorted to bring several first team players as they were trailing. It payed off with the scoring under the post with 90 seconds left to play. It was all up to Wasps to secure the ball and finish the game off, but after a loose kick Mike Poole pressed on down the line and kicked forward, the Wasps full back took him out and Dragons were awarded a penalty which they converted for the win. Excellent game.

So with 2 great wins today I am a happy bunny
