Orihuelah CF v Cadiz CF
As part of our Scotland trips we always take in a local lower league game. Our choice this trip was Orihuelah v cadiz in the Spanish cup, taking place in the town of Orihuelah 40mins south of Alicante.
Arrived at Siesta time - it was hot and like a ghost town. Our group was also the smallest for a while with only 5 of us on the train. For every beer we bought we got a free beer and complimentary tapas. Third bar in we saw the neighbouring pharmacy had a digital thermometer outside showing the temperature. It was sitting at 35.5c by the time we left for the next bar it had reached 37c - way too hot to be wearing a kilt! At this point re-enforcements arrived.
Game was good but our adopted team of Orihuelah lost. Afterwards we got on the pitch to have a kick about before getting a pre-return train beer in the bar above.
