Modern life not always rubbish

My sister happened to be telling me that you can no longer get batteries for my dad's old railway lamp.

A quick image search later, I found out its model name, and soon tracked down this device; the same size as the obsolete battery, it connects three D cells and has exactly the right fitting for the lamp. Amazing what you can get on eBay for a couple of quid.

Off to see the new Johnny English film this afternoon. Well, the kids are keen. I suspect some aspects of modern life might turn out to be rubbish after all.
