Good & Bad...

with Mike & barn Owl Bob. We went to record the barn owls in our region today, first nest the chicks were all gone except one dead :( The next nest there was 5 healthy chicks ready to be ringed & messured :0), the one above is the smallist of the bunch (so soft, its almost like strocking the breeze). We also spotted one in a hollow of a tree what a climb that was, they look healthy & happy, but to far down to be ringed & messured.

Barn Owl Bob is licenced to do this job & does it voluntery, Mike helps him out & i some times come along. Its always best to leave wild life to the wild or to someone that is trained to do the job.
