cilantro

first time out of the house in several days, really. did some grocery shopping between readings while L was at school. then made a nice dinner of grilled chicken and cheese sandwiches with tomato basil soup.

after browsing a French cookbook for dreamy desserts we didn't have the time or resources to prepare, I cut into this beautiful bushel of cilantro to make my famous (to me) salsa for breakfast tacos tomorrow morning (it tastes best after soaking up the flavors in the fridge all night)--our first weekend breakfast together in many months.

i have a mountain of readings and writings to wade through after being sick all week and the music downstairs at Fred's is not making it easy. it never does.
