cranberry...

a delicate white - with a hint of the lightest red going through it...

i guess that's why it's called such - 'cuz it's not like i found it in a cranberry bog or anything... but that's what the little sign said it was... i'm surprised it's still hanging in there after our up and down weather now - it's proving to be fairly hardy...

much more so than i am... i only found it due to having to drag myself to an appointment - so i ventured over to one of the gardens i like to visit - many of the flowers are history now: withered, faded or dead...

this was one of a few still hanging strong - though its appearance is so dainty... goes to show - looks can be deceiving - we shouldn't be fooled... or so quick to judge on that account... a good lesson learned - on a sunny day...
