New Jersey woodland
Trees again. This time on the New Jersey shoreline where I've been helping to trap Diamondback Terrapins. I'm here for a meeting of Earthwatch trustees but it's not all sitting around tables. We get to go out in to the field with one of our Earthwatch scientists.
There's a real New England autumn feel to the weather. This bed of pine needles was a comfortable cushion on the feet as the sun filtered through the trees. We've passed many houses with their Halloween decorations in the gardens but I haven't had the chance to photograph any yet. I'm hoping I get the chance before leaving.
