Lincolnshire flatlands
Woke this morning to the bluest of skies. This view is from the back of the pub. Most of the fields are now being ploughed and I saw some amazing farm machines at work. I really enjoy the landscape here, it is such a contrast to what I am used to. The skies are enormous and the fields are big and flat. The skyline more or less marks the coast. Further to the west the landscape is much more undulating and when my nephew and I drove over to the hospital in the afternoon we passed a 'zillion' blip opportunities. It is impossible to stop as the roads are very twisty and quite narrow and I was longing to take pictures.
We had a long visit and my brother was in good spirits. Hopefully he will be home within the week.
Back to The King's Head later in the evening where a large glass of red wine was waiting for me, now that's what I call service!
