Horizon Monarch

A rhododendron from Mums garden called Horizon Monarch. Its a beauty! The buds are bright coral red opening to these lovely soft colours and changing to a soft pastel yellow as it ages, turning almost white before finishing its cycle. Here the opening bud is surrounded by all the colours on the same bush covering the different stages.

A much needed quiet day for me, some time at the gym followed by a few house jobs. Have been feeling quite tired the last few days and uploaded yesterdays blip early this afternoon. Its show weekend for our small town and I can here the echo of the loud speakers. Daughter E is going to Carnival night with some friends tonight, sounds like fun.

The weekend is here and a long one for all Kiwi's with Monday as a holiday being Labour Day. Its also an exciting and nervewracking time with the Bronze Final and Final of the Rugby World Cup.
