Murphy on the Attack!

While out taking Daughter to college today, I wandered over to CountryMax. This is an awesome store that sells all kinds of good kibble for pets, along with many other things, including pet toys.

Hearing the birds in the back of the store, I was drawn to see them. As I walked back, I was greeted by two adorable bunnies in cages. The cages were on the floor with no tops and the bunnies hopped up on the wire to say hello. They were so cute and friendly...However, I think two Scottie boys would not enjoy having a bunny around. Well, on the other hand, maybe they would!

After petting the bunnies, I walked over to the aisle where the treats are kept and got a bag of goodies for the boys. Walking back to the front of the store, I noticed all kinds of cute toys. One that really caught my eye was called a Skinneeez Big Bite. This toy has no stuffing, but has a velcro "pouch" in which to insert a plastic water bottle.

Murphy adores chewing on water bottles! I never realized dogs enjoyed doing so until I talked to another woman who told me her Scottie girl loves the crunching sound!

Since Husband and Son were in the car when we got in, Murphy acted totally
disinterested in the new toy. I felt so bad. But, after Husband and Son went into a store, I got out the toy and showed it to Murphy. Instantly, the little bugger began crunching away at the new toy, attacking that wild fox! He played for several minutes on the seat, then suddenly flopped down, the little fox nestled under that big ole Scottie blockhead!
