First real frost

This morning was the first real frost of the season. The warm season veggies and annuals went to the big garden in the sky last night. It was my best year for tomatoes, can't wait for next season.

This is frost on an Acantholimon (Prickly thrift) cushion in the Rock Alpine Garden at DBG, the red berries of a mountain ash and the red flowers of a California fushia add a bit of warmth to the chilly scene.
