Citizens' Initiative

Kaiserslautern citizens will be voting on Sunday:

The last large department store in the city center closed 2009 and to get customers back in the city a mall will be built.

A citizens' initative enforced a vote on the question about selling or not selling the mall property to the investor.
Yes or no will decide about the size of the mall, future traffic solutions etc.

This morning after arriving at the Kaiserslautern train station we received a paper bag with a Brötchen, jam, an apple and water, a free ticket to the indoor swimming pool, a memo pad and a few leaflets with a little bit of a reminder how to vote and why.

Very nice of them! The only problem (for them) is, that most of us commuters are not citizens of Kaiserslautern and therefore are not allowed on voting.
Breakfast was enjoyed anyway!
