Oh what a beautiful morning!!! :-))))

Such a truly beautiful day today...after days of wind, rain, and darkness!! Am actually on holiday this week...but am working a few extra shifts!! Since forecast was rotten I haven't minded...but there was no way I was missing out on today!!!! Sun ALL day is forecast!!

I am actually between nights, but this morning I planned a little trip to break the monotony of a run of shifts!! As much as I love my job...(although it's horribly stressful at present)...I need to know there is something other than work!! I took the camera for some early morning shots!! Sunrise so well timed just now...just as I finish work!!! Rosy skies...here I come!!! :-)))))

Left work and was halfway to the car when I realised in dismay that I'd forgotten the coffee!! Now I love going somewhere for shots...but without coffee!!!! Just NOT the same!! Had to drop in at nearby shopping centre!!

What is it with our/my need for coffee bars/cafes!! I swear I never really enjoy the popular street ones, yet am never out of them!! So this morning I had hard choices...

Coffee Repulsive!!!!! ( Maybe a bit harsh!!) Lol!!!!

Why DO I do it...now if it was a cappucino in a little Florence back street....THAT would be delish...but oh no...I do insist on cafe dishwater!!! Sigh!! But I can't live without it!!!!!!! Have cards for every one!!! Hmmm!!


ANYWAY....

Ended up at Eaglesham moor...up a small hill...thankful for the mad pink wellies I keep in the car boot!!! Goodness knows how odd I looked!! But crocs from work were not really appropriate!!!!!! :-))

I took some shots with a vague notion that maybe if I tried again I might just get a sunburst!!! And YES....today it worked!!!!!!!! :-))) Then I realised that I'd forgotten to change the white balance after the shots in town....but the result was really beautiful too....blue, blue, blue!! This shot was taken after I put it on the right setting!! How many things to remember!!!!!!!!!! I just loved today...although am shattered now and heading straight to bed!!! If anyone wants to see one or two (actually three!!) other shots, including the Tungston version which SO nearly got blipped....see HERE!!!!!!

PS....is there ANY way that I could have got this sunburst without the darkened foreground?? The grass was so bright and green today, but you don't see that here. I love what I got....but SO wish you could have seen that lush green!!! :-))
