Highest mail box in Southern Hemisphere

Took my grandson K into the city again today.

We decided to go to the top of the Sydney Eye previously called Centrepoint Tower.

K had a ball and we had a magnificent 180 degree view of the city of Sydney. He was using the double telescopes which were too big and high for him but we worked out ways he could manage. He watched the trains going to the Eastern Suburbs, a yacht race, the monotrain winding its way around to Darling Harbour and of course all the tiny traffic way below us.

I had trouble getting him to finally agree to catch the lift back down to civilization.

Unfortunately 3 year old K had a nasty cough and her Mum and Dad didn't want her travelling into the city.

We promised her a surprise when we returned home and fortunately found a plaster painting kit which she loved and we will work on tomorrow.

This mail box was way up the top of the Tower and according to the sign it is the highest mailbox that is in use in the Southern Hemisphere.
