Let there be light

Sunlight, that is. This morning there was some - glancing off the autumn leaves and even glinting on the loch down below the house. I am glad I caught it early - now (and I am working at home today trying to catch up with papers and mail and briefings ) there is cloud cover again and it is threatening to rain.

We had some friends for dinner last night and all were complaining about the very prolonged wet spell that Argyll has experienced. Today is a harbinger perhaps - though the forecast for the west remains dull and damp for the remainder of the month. But I will be in Inverness from Friday for SNP Annual Conference and the sun is due to shine there - metaphorically as well as physically I hope.
