What a waste

Today, I finally took delivery of some much awaited furniture. Unpacking it was like playing with a matryoshka doll.

The chest of drawers were wrapped in several foam sheets, encased in cardboard, which were protected by thick polystyrene blocks, which were covered in a sheet of polythene, which, in turn, were clad with strategically positioned sheets of plywood, and placed in an extremely thick cardboard box...and shipped from China!

I'm no eco-warrior, but something's not right there...
