The Origins of Us

Here I am getting the signature of Dr Alice Roberts in a new book of hers on evolution.

She had just given a very engaging talk entitled "The Origins of Us" at York University. The night before she appeared on TV in the first part of a series of the same name.

My wife spotted that she was coming to York and booked tickets to see and hear her as a birthday surprise. What a surprise!

Dr Alice Roberts is admirable for the work she does as an anatomist and for the blossoming TV presenter that she is. As well as all this she is a mother! How does she cope?

By the way, the white skull is modelled on her own. She uses it for comparison with the other one which is of one of our dim and distant ancestors.

Let us hear it for those professionals who popularise their subjects for us, in books and on TV, they do a great job .....
