Blue

Today was a day about eyes & about simple pleasures. Another visit to my fabulous opticians and a charity shop where I found a jumper in a particularly lush shade of blue. Finally discovering the perfect contact lens, seeing new friends, drinking excellent espresso with a glass of iced water at Carluccios & walking in the rain. Tonight I'm lucky enough to be taking a bath whilst my charming & inspiring buddhist house guests cook dinner. We'll be eating at suppertime, Latin American style (ie. close to midnight). We were talking about things we would 'take with us' when we left - I was remembering swimming circles around a pink oleander blossom floating in green, fish-teeming water while light danced off the white cliff beside the river and made the whole place like a temple.
