Just hanging around

Visiting Alton Towers has been on my to do list for pretty much all of my 29 plus one plus another one years on this planet. The girlies love theme parks too but, alas, they are too small to go on any of the really big scary rides and the hubby is too scared to go on any of the really big scary rides, so my sister and I took a break from work and had a fabulous child free day there! It was ace! Although a lot of the rides weren't even that scary! Such hardcore people we are... Erm, yes...

It was really hard taking photos of the big fast scary rides as they were too big and fast and scary to get a decent shot so I chose this one for today's pic, which is in the gardens there. The castle and grounds there are actually really beautiful - I can't believe they allowed a great big monstrosity of a theme park to be built there. The cable cars were broken, so that one was just hanging out in the sky all by itself. Hopefully there wasn't anyone in it as it was like that pretty much all day! Hmm...
