Meet Larry, The "Good" Plumber

This is Larry from the reputable plumbing place in town. The local guys. I haven't heard anyone every complain about their service.

One thing I've now learned, go local, not with those companies that have stores throughout the Southwest.

Larry came over yesterday and checked out the stuff the con guy did on Saturday. He said I didn't need a new tank - besides, it is only five years old and has a nine year warranty. But he did see leaks in one of the pipes, so that single pipe needs to be replaced.

So today he came to do the work. What you seeing Larry doing here, he did for all of my valves. Some parts needed to be replaced.

He took one off and showed me. Twisted one a little bit and a hole popped. So I believed him. I wasn't going to be fooled twice.


This is the time of year that we begin to get really wide variations between the daytime high and night time lows. Highs for the rest of the week are expected to be around 90F and lows in the high 50'sF. That's a thirty-plus swing in temperature in a 24-hour period.

The sun heats the air during the day, but the desert loses the heat because of its cloudless nights. The earth doesn't hold the heat like it does during the summer months so the warmth is lost that much easier.
