aged electricity meter

we're supposed to be taking out the wall that this meter is on to make the flat a bit more open plan.

The trouble is that dusty cable running across the bottom of the photo is the incoming supply and you're strictly limited in what you can do when you want to move the meter by the length of the cable ......

At the moment it's running through the three flats below, up through the floor of this one and up the wall we want to take out.

Without doing some investigative work we won't know what we can do so it's hard to make any plans ......... a real chicken and egg scenario
