Womble hunting.
This flu is starting to get the better of me now... I know I'm being a typical man moaning about a spot of 'man-flu' but I have a busy schedule this week and could really do without it!
Anyways... I didnt get round to taking any photos yesterday so I've been left with another gap in my journal... My bad. I spent some of the day at the gym with Tarek supporting him with his last bits of preparation for his competition this weekend. We trained full upper body and I watched him practicing some posing and his routine... I think he has a good chance of winning this comp and I really want that for him, he deserves it for the hell he has been putting himself through.
I worked with Gary last night at The Searchlight and we smashed out some really good group work with our young ones... Gary delivered a sexual health workshop and I took on some literacy. We were pleasantly suprised with the outcomes and how things went considering we both were slightly dreading the session at the start of the evening.. We had around 35 young people aged between 12 and 15... A recipe for chaos!
I woke up today feeling awful... The worst day of my 'man-flu' so far. I had an early piece of work to do with a group of young people at Kingston College, an urban art/graffiti canvas workshop. My session was successful, even though I couldnt pronounce any words with the letter 't' properly due to being so bunged up...
I popped into the gym after my first piece of work and trained with Tarek again. He wasnt feeling great either, in fact, he told me that today he felt the worst he has ever felt during his whole diet and preparation.... I can relate to this from my experiences... The better you look, the worse you feel!
I managed to squeeze in a walk over Wimbledon Common with Bruno before my evening piece of work, snapped the above photo and headed home to get ready...
Taking a group of young people to the dinosaur themed crazy golf course tonight.... better wrap up warm I think! I have been around the course before with Poppy and it took us a while (and I think of myself as quite the skilled crazy golfer) so god knows how long its going to take tonight with a group of 12 kids!
