A morning of mixed decadence and thrift! To summarise:-

£1.20 return train fare/concession makes wee jaunts to the City worthwhile!

There are few things which feel as self-indulgent as a manicure when you have never previously had nails worthy of the activity!

Ye cannae beat an egg & cress sandwich fae Costa's when you're in the mood and need to eat with your fingers splayed to let the nails dry!

You can price two Christmas toy items in Hamley's and then buy them in John Lewis and the Science shop at a total saving of £7.50 !!!

Sometimes the sun just comes out and cheers you up!

The Atheneum building on Buchanan Street is always worth a blip and yet rarely makes the cut! Today's its lucky day.
