Say it with flowers
Yesterday I invited a neighbour friend round for 'tea in the afternoon'. I hadn't seen her for several months so there was much to catch up on. She brought me these lovely roses from her garden and a couple of leeks. I suppose I could have photographed the leeks but the roses are very pretty. In any case, the leeks are now all cooked and have been combined into one of my favourite supper dishes, Anglesey Eggs. In my case with my ingredients all locally sourced it's definitely a Yorkshire dish!
The weather is very blowy at the moment and Mike has braved the elements to take Bracken out. I am expecting another neighbour round for tea and a chat. I promise I don't do this all the time but I have been out of circulation for quite a time and need to be up-dated on village gossip news!
I probably will have to back blip the next couple of days as I am going down to Lincolnshire tomorrow after my Oxfam shift. My brother is unwell and I shall go and see for myself how he is. Back Friday!
