This salmon is trying to get up the River Braan.

From my vantage point it looked impossible.

There were no slack pools halfway up the falls, and it must have been 25 to 30 ft high, yet there were salmon of all sizes trying and trying again.

Us humans find it easy to make an excuse if something looks difficult...
