Pears

It's not flies we're protecting ourselves from, it's the cat. Our boy loves pears, and, just like the birds who sample the fruit on the trees, he is not content with trying just one. Any unattended pears are just too much temptation. So far this net thingie has worked. And, no, he's not allowed on the counter. But we can spray him til he's soaking wet and he will still go up there to get the fruit. I had another cat a long time ago who loved broccoli and cantaloupe, but she had better manners and would daintily get her treats out of the trash.
