What did I see today...?

Completely lacking in Blipping material today (and also camera battery - very bad planning as I wanted to get a badminton shot today!) I was relaxing with my traditional post-exercise whiskey (well, it wouldn't be healthy not to have a drink afterward!) and today's Blip came together - some Jameson's whiskey from Ireland, an Edwin Blyde hip flask from England, a Glencairn glass from Scotland. The final connection is a bit tenuous - the whiskey was a gift from a Welsh relative!

So to close here are the Scottish Whiskey Experience's guide to appreciating scotch whisky, which don't actually apply to mine, but anyway...:
1). Colour - is your whisky light gold, bright copper or rich amber in colour?
2). Body - does you whisky have a light, medium or full body?
3). Nose - which aromas do you recognise when you nose your whisky - is it malty, smoky, fruity, chocolatey?
4). Palate - what characteristics do you notice on the palate - is it softly sweet, rich and fruity, or peppery & spicy?
5). Finish - does the flavour remain for a long time or does it disappear quickly?
