I had to leave Mickey at the vet's clinic

Mickey is the first parrot alive in which cushings disease is diagnosed and since last Friday I started with special medicine, Trilostane (which is given to dogs and cats with cushing syndrome). It is never given to a parrot before, so it is quite difficult to find the right amount. The fact is, that since Saturday Mickey didn't have appetite anymore and ate less. Sunday the same and today when I came home from work, she again didn't eat. Not good! This evening I took her to my bird vet Peter Bastiaansen and he fed her with a special crop needle. She has to stay over there, hoping that she starts eating by herself soon.. I so do miss her..
