What's left in the fridge?
We get our shopping delivered each week. This started out to avoid the situation of a 2 year old getting a bit fractious after about 20mins into a 'big shop', but it has persisted because it saves hours and hours of time and negates supermarket stress. There is a downside, you do tend to eat similar meals week after week. Then again, you never fall for the mind-controlling tricks that result in an extra 50-60% spend when things catch your eye in-store.
It was delivery night tonight, but I couldn't wait for them before I could eat so this was all that was left in the fridge. Most "what's left" meals tend to be a bit random - mismatched and generally food for purpose. However, I was in for a treat as it turned out to be gnocchi and sausages. I LOVE gnocchi and could happily live on sausages full time. FTW!
I am cooking for one as it has been confirmed this afternoon that I *do* have food poisoning and the doctor has advised that I do not handle food for anyone else :( Hopefully be gone in a few days, it's easing up (a bit). The dodgy restaurant will not be revisited.
