The Falkirk Wheel

A telephoto shot of the Falkirk Wheel. One day I might get a photograph of the Wheel when the weather is dry, bright and sunny - unlike today when it was a cold, wet autumn day with near ceaseless rain.

Ah well, that's Scottish weather for you. When you want to take photos it is often the case that you either get wet or get lucky.

I archived a blip for the same date last year when we were in Lake Louise in Canada on our way to a wilderness area of British Columbia to see grizzly bears in the wild. What a contrast in the weather. I enjoyed looking back over the holiday photos and will archive some more - including some of grizzly bears - over the next few days.
