Risi e Bisi !

One for Poppins - A Venitian classic.
We had this dish in Venice, and Liz had found the recipe.
So I decided to try and make it for our tea tonight.
And it worked!
It was very tasty, and I think it was even a bit better than the one we had in Venice.

Today is the 19th birthday of my youngest bairn - Eleanor.
She has not wanted to speak to me since I left in 2005, and I really hope that she is having a happy birthday. It would be great if she changed her mind, but I have resigned myself to not hearing from her, or my other two children.
They might change their minds if they need help in the future, but I doubt it.

I am still VERY happy.
