Crown No1
I am feeling that my latest wood stove restoration project is starting to gather momentum. Looking at a bunch of sheet metal and cast iron and trying to picture it as a complete stove can be a bit daunting.
I already restored one earlier this year though, so I kind of know what to expect. I decided on a colour for the body tonight: White. Easy! Easy because I can get high temperature white paint. The legs will be hammer tone silver and some of the tris will also be hammer tone silver. I think probably the biggest challenge on this project will be attempting to weld a piece of cast iron, something that is fairly specialist.
Tonight I gave the insides of the legs a coat of matt black to keep the rust at bay in future.
Tomorrow I will start work on the bottom shelf. If the paint is dry that is...
