As soon as the poor dog arrived home he skidaddled into the paint store and watched us nervously. We thought it would be best if he didn't meet the other dogs until he was more confident with us. So over the next short while we're keeping him separate and giving him lots of attention.

We're going to take it in turns to sleep on a made up bed on the laundry room floor - with the door open so he can see that there's someone there. He's been used to sharing his cell with another dog, so we hope that will give him confidence.
