Mirina, on Limnos.

We arrived here from Thasos. Mirina is a lovely place. We keep finding places that would make for a lovely land based holiday destination and this is one of them. Great places to eat and just a nice atmosphere. There is a large military presence on the island which is left over from it being used as a stepping off point during WW2 and in conflicts since. This seems to have resulted in a very organised and clean place with few unfinished buildings and an overall very tidy place compared to many in Greece.

I am confident we will return to Limnos, but with the weather forecast looking grim we need to push on and will only have one night here.
