Shadow of a Former Self

Made the Autumn Pilgrimage to Westonbirt Arboretum today. I thougfht I would take a macro photo of a backlit dying acer leaf, so fitted the macro lens. When I got close up and personal to this leaf I saw that there was a collection of dead insects on the underside of the leaf.

I included this one rather than the normal glorious Autumn Acer colours because it spoke to me of the temporary nature of life.
