Go Penelope Go!

This is Penelope. She's the robotic vacuum cleaner I got for my birthday earlier this year, and she is the GREATEST THING EVER. A friend of mine convinced me to give this newfangled contraption a try when she talked about how she vacuums her place: she pours a glass of wine, presses start, and sits down with a good book. Now I can do the same thing, and it's every bit as wonderful as it sounds. Not only that, but Penelope does a much more thorough job than I ever did.

So this is a shot of her zipping across the bedroom earlier this evening. I leave for the annual family Disney World trip on Tuesday, so I'm in a desperate rush trying to make the house presentable so the catsitter won't know what a total slob I am 99% of the time. Tonight I conquered all the laundry and the floors in the bedroom suite. Tomorrow evening: the kitchen, bathroom, and living room. I'm exhausted just thinking about it, but luckily Penelope does hardwoods too...so it's not as daunting as it used to be.
