Dahlia in evening

We all went along to a charity cake & coffee event organised by a friend of my wife. I thought it there would be some events-style photography for me to try out, but somehow I ended up babysitting 10-ish children out in the garden while their mums chatted inside. I suppose it served me right for being in the garden in the first place, namely taking pictures of the flowers lit by the late afternoon sun such as this white Dahlia.

The kids were actually mostly well behaved. Just hope nobody notice what's swimming in the bird bath - the result of the children's somewhat controversial but very adamant views on the dietary requirements of garden birds.
