Illumination

It's happened again - I knew exactly what I wanted to blip today (well, it would have been a night shot, as are quite a few of my blips), then a sudden change of mind. This morning, another beautiful day, I noticed the sun shining through my living room window and hitting the leaves of my Stomanthe Sanguinea - a member of the Maranta (Prayer Plant) family. The effect from behind the leaves was the most glorious illumination of the colours. I was entranced. Out came the camera! And so my planned blip for today will just have to wait until tomorrow night. Sometimes the spontaneous and unexpected things in life are SO rewarding!

Viewed even larger it really hits you in the face!
