Born in Brussels

Tintin, one of the most famous comic heros is forever linked with Brussels. Hergé (the creator of Tintin) was born and raised in Brussels and lived and worked here until his death in 1983.

Brussels' favourite comic character is now finally coming to life! The movie "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" has its premiere in Brussels and Paris on 22 October and will be released over the Christmas holiday season everywhere else. To celebrate this fact, the Brussels region put up this massive billboard of Tintin at Place de Brouckère, opposite the biggest movie theatre in Brussels (where I guess the premiere will be).
