Georgian Fly Poster problem

It seems that Clifton, Bristol had a fly poster problem of such proportions in Georgian times that someone was tasked with carving this reminder into the stonework.

It still seems to be working but someone has daubed it with some coloured paint.

We went out for breakfast this morning. Now that was a treat, the boys charming the waitress and at their stunning best. If only she'd seen them minutes before!
