a little ghetto with the half

I was at the mall, shopping for a suit for my future job interview with my mom and we got some coffee - americanos, actually, which I suggested to her once because she doesn't like Starbucks brewed coffee and americanos are great.

She wanted some half and half for hers, but the jug was empty, so the busy barista just passed me the carton. I took it back after a couple people had used some and asked if he wanted me to swap it out for him and he said "No...let's go a little ghetto with the half".
