St Kildan Rope

Didn't expect to be doing any more St Kildan related blips... until my boss arrived in the office with this today, a genuine piece of St Kildan rope. Purchased from one of the evacuees in 1930 by his father, it's been kept ever since along with a few other bits and pieces.

It's not like an average bit of rope... it has horse hair woven into it making it incredibly grippy, perfect for climbing down a cliff face or two!
