Baby Car at Night

This is my Baby Car. She is 14 and a half years old and sadly I doubt if she will see 15. Recently her engine (all 665 ccs of it, yes that's right smaller than a lot of bike engines!) has been showing signs of age and today, for only the 4th time, she let me down...or to be more correct, I let her down. When I went to take Daizy out for her evening walk, Baby wouldn't start...no sign of life at all!

Luckily my landlord, who lives upstairs, also happens to be my mechanic. It didn't take him long to diagnose a flat battery (even I'd guessed that much) caused by the lights being left on (don't know how that happened as it was bright sunlight at the time). So he kindly jump-started Baby for me...and then I had to take her for a nice long drive.

Consequently, Daizy got a walk round the village instead of her usual country walk, and I had no blip apart from a couple of flowers which weren't very good. Still, Baby deserves a blip especially after the ignominy that I put her through today.

I also noticed that the bonnet isn't properly closed when I previewed this...better remember to shut it in the morning!
